Fixer Upper Paint Colors – The Most Popular of ALL TIME

I don’t know about you, but I sometimes struggle to pick out paint colors. I mean, I usually know the look that I want. But finding the right paint color to fit the ideas in my head is sometimes a maddening mess. Since starting my blog, I have really begun to visually dissect Joanna’s designs that we all know and love. From watching the show, I’ve noticed that she likes to use certain  Fixer Upper paint colors over and over again. Which means, if they work for her – they more than likely will work for me too! (but I recommend to always, always, always get some samples to try out in your own space – as paint colors can look totally different depending on lighting and other undertones in the room.)

DISCLAIMER: This blog is not affiliated with Fixer Upper or Magnolia in any way. Opinions are entirely mine and do not represent an endorsement by Joanna Gaines.

The Most Popular Fixer Upper Paint Colors

2022 UPDATE: Since first publishing this post back in 2016, I’ve updated it and have also been asked to remove certain images. It seems I am no longer allowed to post pics from HGTV or Magnolia – bummer 🙁 I have used some of my own pics instead which show the colors, and I’ve replaced pics with links so you can still get an idea of which episode/house I was referencing.

So here are the most popular Fixer Upper paint colors of all time:

1. Sherwin Williams – Alabaster

my favorite Fixer Upper paint colors - #paint | The Harper House

Joanna painted the main living areas of her own farmhouse Alabaster and she continually uses it in homes she designs on Fixer Upper as well. It’s a great color to use on walls and trim both. We painted the shiplap in Mouse House this color. You can see the progress post here and take a look at our fixer upper kitchen reveal here.

Grab a peel and stick sample of SW Alabaster here.

And see all the kitchen details here.

2. Sherwin Williams – Silver Strand

favorite Fixer Upper paint colors - #paint | The Harper House

This gorgeous muted gray/green is Joanna’s go to color for interior walls in many of the homes she’s filmed on Fixer Upper. It is a lovely neutral when paired with white trim and her signature hardwood floors. We used Silver Strand in the mudroom at Mouse House – see the full reveal of the Mudroom here.

3. Sherwin Williams – Oyster Bay

favorite Fixer Upper paint colors - #paint | The Harper House

Oyster Bay is another lovely greenish blue color with a bit more intensity than Silver Strand. Joanna loves to use this color on built-ins that need a little more contrast and it makes for a fantastic color for bedrooms and baths as well.

You can see Oyster Bay on the bedroom walls of the West Story episode.

4. Sherwin Williams – Repose Gray

favorite Fixer Upper paint colors - #paint | The Harper House

Repose Gray is a softer feeling gray with taupe undertones. It doesn’t fall in the warm or cool categories, but somewhere in the middle. It’s a very nice all around gray – not too dark and not too light.

I wrote a 5000 word color review all bout Repose Gray so check that post for tons more info, including lots of pics in real homes and a video!

5. Sherwin Williams – Mindful Gray

And finally we have Mindful Gray. I like to think of it as Repose Gray’s deeper darker older sister 🙂 Looks beautiful with white wainscoting (or SHIPLAP!)

A few more favorites for 2022:

Benjamin Moore Lakeshore Green

Barn door in Mouse House is BM Lakeshore Green

BM Lakeshore Green is a pretty bluish green color reminiscent of the haint blue colors found on porch ceilings a hundred years ago. I had the paint guys mix it at 50% which gives it a softer more muted look. See more pics of this door in our flip house kitchen reveal.

Grab a peel and stick sample of Lake Shore Green here.

Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze

SW Urbane Bronze at 150%

It’s always good to have a go-to black and Urbane Bronze from Sherwin Williams is definitely one of my favorites! It has brown undertones which gives it a nice rich depth, perfect for doors and shutters. I had the guys mix this at 150% to increase the richness a bit. (For info on where to find door knobs for your whole house – check out this post.)

Visit Samplize to grab some mess-free, peel and stick samples of all your favorite paint colors, including Urbane Bronze.

Benjamin Moore Fieldstone

stove hood: BM Fieldstone | Shiplap: SW Alabaster

And finally, we have BM Fieldstone which we used on the stove hood of Mouse House – see the full kitchen post here.  It’s a great light french gray with no blue or purple undertones. Looks beautiful on kitchen cabinets too!

(You can make a similar Give Thanks sign too – full tutorial in this post.)

          3. Thanks so much for reading Kelly! Yes, I think either color would work well 🙂 They both will be a tad warmer than the pure white, but I’d still recommend getting a sample first just to make sure. Good luck!

          4. I’m not sure what color you’re looking for, but I like a nice soft white with Silver Strand. Benjamin Moore White Dove is nice 🙂

          3. We are thinking about painting the interior of our new house Mindful Gray or Anew Gray with Alabaster trim and cabinets. Do you think the Alabaster will go with the Mindful and Anew?

      4. Hello: Does anyone know the color she used on the Exterior Brick, in the photo with the “SW Urban Bronze Door” ..Beautiful!! Thank you! MICK

        1. Hi Mick, that pic is from our flip house and we painted the brick Intellectual Gray by Sherwin Williams. It’s a gorgeous warm taupe gray with khaki undertones. 🙂

          1. Hi, about to paint our shiplap and wall in alabaster. Curious what paint color did you use for your ceilings?
            Xoxo, Shannon

          2. Hi Shannon, we just use regular “ceiling white” pre-mixed from big box stores since it’s much cheaper. We got ours at Menards but Home Depot & Lowes carry ceiling paint too. Good luck with your project!

          3. Hi! Do you know what the exterior paint color for this Carriage House is and the shutters?

          4. Can you tell me what paint color was used in episode 5 season 8 Plain Jane in the dinning room and kitchen ? Love the color . Thank you, Tammy

          5. Hi looking at painting living room with alabaster color. Would it look good to paint ceiling same color?

      5. It is not hot all the time. You may have a couple of months where it is hot, but we all have air conditioning. It is nothing like dealing with the cold and no state income tax (so far) is a bonus!

      6. Anyone best, white siding exterior, board and batten, small home….white trim, urbon bronze door maybe, or iron ore, roof has hints of gray,green…..best sherwin williams siding white, I don’t want it to look like it’s glowing, but no yellow tones.

    2. Christy, I love the way you did your kitchen!! It’s gorgeous! I have been trying for 2-3 years to choose 3 colors… a white for my cupboards, and 2 grays… 1 for my walls and 1 for my wainscoting. I am extremely indecisive! Can you please throw 3 at me?? I know I want these colors, but can’t choose.
I would be honored! Thank you so much!!

  2. I love all of Joanna’s homes and always wondered what those colors were. So thank you for revealing them with the photos of where they were used. We were repainting our entire home as their show started and I had already gone towards the grays, soft gray blues and soft blue greens. I am thrilled with our results.

      1. Which specific episode or house are you referring to Teri? If you have a picture you like, I can try to track it down. You can email me via the contact button in my menu. Some of her favorites she’s used in the past are Sherwin Williams Silver Strand & Sea Salt. Also try Sherwin Williams Comfort Gray 😉

        1. I would like to find the paint color used for the Baylor House in the living room. Any one know that would be great!

          1. Hi Jamie – did you mean the Unstately Manor (Season 2 episode 7)? If so, the living room in that house is painted SW Silver Strand. It’s a beautiful color. We used it in the laundry room of our recent flip house. Hope this helps 🙂

        2. Season 3 episode 2..that cute little cottage I think it was called the Brick house. So beautiful I have looked and looked to find the color of those walls

          1. Hi Jamie – she used mostly her own paint colors (from her new Magnolia Line) in Season Three. But I was able to confirm that the living room walls for the Brick House are Clean Slate from her Magnolia line – https://shop.magnoliamarket.com/products/clean-slate. The picture is a little deceiving as it’s picking up the blue undertones from the lighting. A nice color match for you to try would be Benjamin Moore Comfort Gray or Oyster Bay. We used Comfort Gray in our current flip house and it looks lovely with the white trime (BM White Dove)

    1. Hi! When doing alabaster on both the walls and trim, so you also use it on the ceilings?? I’m stuck as to what we would do for the ceilings, hope you can help!

      1. You definitely can use Alabaster on the ceilings too, however we always use the much cheaper basic ‘ceiling white’ or whatever from the big box stores. It’s just a basic white and covers well and doesn’t cost as much as the name brand paints 🙂 good luck!

        1. Hi! Do you happen to know the manufacturer of the beautiful front door that is painted with Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze? It is just gorgeous!!

          Thanks so much!
          Michelle

          1. it’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from MASONITE, and we added 12” sidelights.
Here is another option from HOME DEPOT (although I’m not sure if you can add grilles to this version)

Hope this helps and good luck with your search!

  6. These are beautiful and very restful colors. My partner uses Conservative Grey in some of our house flips or Ice Cube Blue (they are Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore, I always forget), but they are very similar to the colors in your post, so I guess we are on the right track !!

    1. that is so funny, because we painted several rooms in our current house Conservative Gray! I love that color too, very soft and muted. Thanks for stopping by Melony!

  7. Ok- after reading this post I want to repaint my dining room! The furniture is a distressed pine. Would any of these colors work? The walls are now a rich cranberry.

    1. Hi Dawn – yes, I think any of these colors would work nicely with distressed pine furniture. Just depends on what you prefer. I personally am really loving the nice warm whites, so I would go with Alabaster. That is what we are planning on painting all the shiplap in our flip house that we’re working on. But if you prefer a little bit of color, try Silver Sand or Repose Gray. Good luck!

  8. Thank you so much for hosting the party! It is great to be connected to all you wonderful loggers. I like the way how you presented the colors. I have watch “Fixer Upper” and always liked their designs, so thanks for sharing.

    1. LOL! go for it Susie! I don’t see any blog police that will take you to the slammer if you link up a top 10 – ha! You’re just giving us twice as much fun, right? Thanks for stopping by!

    1. We just painted our entire living space, Alabaster with SW Pure White ceilings. We also did the new 5″ baseboards in Alabaster but used a satin. Our painter does a lot of painting in downtown Las Vegas and he says that the design trend is to use the same color on the walls and baseboards, but different finishes. The outcome is beautiful. The walls and baseboards look amazing! I couldn’t be happier with the color. Regardless of the lighting, the color is awesome! Good luck!

    1. hmmm, I looked on Home Depot’s website and I don’t see Joanna’s new line? Is that what you’re referring to? I do know that big box stores can color match paints if you bring in a sample of the color. However, in my experience with doing this – it’s not always an *exact* match. But if you’re fine with a color that’s close enough – go for it!

      1. I would like to know what colors she used to paint the brick and trim on the peach house. The ultimate bachelor pad episode.. I. please let me know. Thanks

  13. Hi I have gone to Lowes and there are several colors that cannot be found in the system….can someone help me.

    1. Hi Rachel – thanks so much for stopping by! If you have a swatch or fan deck from Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore, you can take that in to Lowes, Home Depot, Menards (or any paint store) and then can scan that swatch and do a color match for you. Otherwise, if you don’t have a physical sample for them to match and the color is not in their system yet, you will need to purchase the paint directly from a Sherwin Williams store or Benjamin Moore affiliate store. The stores that carry Benjamin Moore in my town are Farm & Fleet and a Do It Best Hardware store. I’ve heard that some furniture stores that carry Joanna’s line will be stocking her paint also, so you might want to call ahead if that’s the paint you’re looking for 🙂 Hope this helps!

  14. I love this list of colors and all the additional info you provided, thank you! My favorite colors were from the Nut House, which is pictured above using silver strand. I’ve been trying to find the name of the color from the master bedroom and I can’t find it listed anywhere. Any ideas on where I can find that?

  15. I love watching fixer upper. she has good taste. I have built a lot of homes, not for me but other people and the gray color has been used for years. When I first saw it it was Galvaston gray in a “Home for the holidays” house that was up for drawing in Lafayette LA. That was in the early 90’s so it’s not a new thing. I dont think I’ll pay that much for Jo’s paint especially since I know the colors and now you can match paint with any brand.

  16. Thanks for your post! I love Joanna’s style as well. Just curious where you were able to find information on which colors she uses? I’d like to check it out myself to see what some of the other paint colors are. Thanks!

    1. Hi Lisa – thanks so much for visiting my blog! Joanna used to post all the house colors on her blog which I’ve been following for years so I get a lot of the info from there. She also posts the colors on Instagram and Facebook sometimes, so you can go through old posts to get info. My friend Sherri also has a Fixer Upper group on FB where she shares lots of paint colors. Just do a search on Fixer Upper Fun and Fixer Upper Paint and those are her groups – super nice people over there! Hope this helps 🙂

  19. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the paint color information! I have been wondering for a long time how to find the paint color names. I surely appreciate your post and all the additional information found while reading through the comments. My parents’ little cottage is very over due for painting, and I think they will love these colors. Thanks again!

    1. I’m so happy my post was helpful for you Tru! I love love love Joanna’s designs and spend waaaay too much time researching them online. Hoping to put together a resource guide of where to find all her home decor items, lighting, flooring, etc… Sometimes you’ll see something and just have to have it – so it would be nice to have a quick place to go for that info I think. Anywho… it’s on my list of things to do! Hopefully you all will find it helpful 🙂 thanks so much for visiting!

      1. Hello and thank you for this wonderful information! We just painted a few rooms in our home Silver Strand but are a little stumped on the white we should choose for our trim. Should we choose just an ultra white or go for Alablaster or something similar? Thank you!

        1. Hi Tammi – thanks for your sweet comment. My go to white trim color is White Dove (by Benjamin Moore) It’s a nice crisp white – but not too stark and not too creamy. Alabaster could also work 😉 Love Silver Strand! We just painted the laundry room in the flip house Silver Strand and it looks SO good! Thanks for visiting!

  22. What color and where can i find the paint used to paint the red brick coastal house on Fixer- upper, Love the show. Thanks Steve Florida

    1. Hi Steve, I don’t know the exact color she used – however, it looks similar to Rainy Days or Sir Drake from her new line: https://shop.magnoliamarket.com/collections/colors. A good color match for those is Benjamin Moore Silver Mink and Atmospheric. I recommend getting a few samples to try out on your home first as colors always look different based on lighting and other factors. We actually just repainted the exterior brick of our flip house about a month ago. Prep work is key…you need to power wash everything before priming. We used Sherwin Williams Loxon Concrete & Masonry Primer and are very happy with the results (here’s a link: http://bit.ly/2bjy0Si). I am hoping to write a post with more tips and final pictures soon. Thanks for stopping by!

    2. Hello! Do you know what color she used for the exterior brick and trim on the Brick Cottage for Baylor Grads? Thank you!

      1. I would love to know the answer to this as well. The color on the season 3 episode 12 (3 Little Pigs House) was stunning. We are considering a new exterior color on our home and even though I am usually much more conservative when it comes to color, when I saw this house, the paint color just really spoke to me.

        1. I agree – that color is amazing! Let me do some research on this and I will see what I can find. Thanks for visiting my blog Ashley 🙂

          1. I’ve been looking all over for the name of this exterior paint color. If anyone knows I’d be forever grateful!

  24. I love the show and always us Sherwin Williams paint. I used the “cashmere” type paint last time and was very happy. Can you recommend and eggshell, flat or other sheen?

    1. Hi Mary Ann, I would recommend Benjamin Moore’s White Dove or Sherwin Williams Alabaster. Of course, get a sample first to see how it looks in your own space and lighting. Joanna also likes to use oil based paint on her cabinets for longevity and ease of clean up. Take care!

  25. May I ask for help? I’d like to know what color this is on Fixer Upper?
    https://www.pinterest.com/pin/36099234489472634/

I consulted with a Paint Color expert for help with selecting paint colors for my Family Room & Rec. Room and she suggested:
    Mindful Gray SW
    Anew Gray SW
    or La Paloma Gray BM

I am looking to see if the one in this post is Mindful Gray 🙂 thanks in advance for your help and great Post! Super helpful!

    1. Hi Amalia, YES! you are correct – that color is SW Mindful Gray. Be sure to put a sample up on your wall first though as colors can look drastically different due to lighting and other influences in the room. Good luck and thanks so much for reading!

      1. I dont know what color paint to use in my den. Kitchen. Dining area its all one open roo rooms with a fireplacr in tbe center of the den. I have dark lamanite floord and high ceiling. Earthtone furinture
        Thsnks susan

        1. You really can’t go wrong with any of the colors I talked about in this post. Repose gray is a nice light gray that would work with most colors of furniture and floors. I’ve also used Silver Strand several times in my own homes and love it. Without seeing your actual space, I can’t really tell you what to use. Your best bet is to just go to the store and purchase a few samples and paint them on some poster board to see what they’ll look like in your own space with your furniture, flooring, and lighting conditions in the space. Good luck!

  29. Are Joanna’s kitchen cabinets painted the same color as her shiplap walls are in her farmhouse or are they 2 different colors? What colors are they?

      1. If you were using Alabaster as your wall color would you use that for your trim and doors as well or choose something like simply white for trim and doors? I have a very open floor plan for my kitchen, dining and great room with vaulted ceilings and a lot of natural light. Thinking I could do alabaster for all the walls, trim and doors (minus pantry doors which will be a gray to match the island). Any suggestions on this?

Also, planning to do my kids rooms with the silver strand. Do you know if Joanna uses alabaster for her ceiling, trim and doors in her kids rooms with the silver strand on the walls?

Thank you for all your recommendations on paint colors.

        1. Hi Tisha, you could definitely use Alabaster as your trim and door color as well as wall color. However, that will give you a more monochromatic look, but it’s still very pretty in my opinion. In looking at Joanna’s farmhouse, I can’t really tell if her trim is a different color so she may have went with Alabaster on her trim as well (I can’t confirm that though). We chose Alabaster for our flip house walls and BM White Dove for the trim and doors. It’s a very slight difference, but still nice. Simply White would look amazing too – you just need to decide if you want contrast between your trim and wall or if you’d like them to all blend together.

I was unable to find the color Joanna used on her kids’ ceiling, but in our flip house we just used “ceiling white in flat” from our local big box store (Menards). And for our laundry room we used Silver Strand with BM White Dove for trim & doors. Hope this helps! Thanks for reading 🙂

    1. We are building our last home and wanting to know a couple things. It seems it’s common to use the same color throughout the main part of the house with different colors In The bedrooms. I’d love a soft warm green without it being too dark for the living, dining and kitchen. Does it sound like it might work without being too dark? If so what color would you suggest? What colors then To compliment in the bedrooms?

  30. I love your blog and Fixer Upper! Do you know what exterior paint color she used on her Carriage House and shutters?

    1. Hi Jennifer, unfortunately I have not been able to find the color she used on the Carriage House. I will keep looking though and email you if I find it! xo, Christy

        1. Hi Mandy, So sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. I’ve got good news and bad news – the bad news is, I could not confirm the exact color they used in the Carriage House (sad face). The good news is – I found an awesome post with some great gray paint recommendations you could try here: http://www.gardenista.com/posts/shades-of-gray-architects-top-10-paint-picks/. Also, we recently painted our flip house Intellectual Gray by Sherwin Williams and it looks great! It’s a good light taupe-ish gray with warm undertones. We painted the shutters & front door SW Urbane Bronze (increased color to 150% – basically just making it a little more intense) which is a nice warm rich black. And I love love love it! Hope to share final pics of it soon or you could email me at christy @ theharperhouse . com and I can send you a pic. Hope this helps!

          1. I love the color and the style of your front door in your flip house. Thank you for sharing what color you used! Can you tell me where you got the door from??

          2. Hi Rachel, we ordered it from our local lumber yard and it’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from Masonite, and we added 12” sidelights.
Here is another option from Home Depot (although I’m not sure if you can add grilles to this version)

Hope this helps and good luck with your search!
            Christy 🙂

  31. Hi Christy,
I was wondering if you knew the paint colors on the wall throughout the House on the River, season 2, episode 4. As well as the color of the master bedroom. Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Jennifer, the interior and master bedroom paint color is Sherwin Williams Magnetic Gray. The Bunk room color is SW Unusual Gray. Thanks for stoppying by! 🙂

  32. I’m wondering about the exterior and interior (main living space and master bedroom) paint colors used in season 2, episode 4 (House on the River). Any help?

    1. Hi Beth, the interior and master bedroom paint color is Sherwin Williams Magnetic Gray. The Bunk room color is SW Unusual Gray and the exterior color is Benjamin Moore Stonybrook. Hope this helps! Thanks for reading, xo Christy

  33. We love fixer upper. We need help with a paint color for our open living room. What would Joanna use to go with Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Floors and White Trim? We have a lot of light and 17 foot ceilings.

    1. Hi Ruth, I personally like warm toned paint colors with cherry floors. Also take note of what undertones are in your existing furniture, curtains, artwork, etc… Some nice warm neutrals to try are: Benjamin Moore Shaker Beige, Revere Pewter, or Coastal Fog. Good luck!

  34. Hi!!! Would you happen to know the color used in the living room on Season 3, episode 2 “The Brick House”? It’s a deeper blue/gray. I have searched and searched, but no luck! Thanks for any help you can give!
    Blessings,
    Lain

  35. What is the exterior paint color (a blue gray?) that she used it Episode 6, Season 1 (Clint’s house)? Thank you!

    1. The exterior paint color on Clint’s house is Cityscape SW 7067 by Sherwin-Williams. Thanks for visiting 🙂

  36. i have creamy vanilla kitchen cabinets and i’m wondering what color of grey would look good with them?

    1. Hi Jeri, for a nice mid-light gray you could try Sherwin Williams Repose Gray or Mindful Gray. And for something more dramatic and darker Benjamin Moore’s Chelsea gray is nice. Definitely buy some samples first to try out in your own space to see the colors with natural light and surroundings. Thanks for stopping by!

  39. Could you please let me know what gray color Joanna used in the A Coastal Makeover for a 1971 Ranch house? I am very interested in using this color. Please help!

    1. Hi Melinda, I can’t confirm the exact color anywhere but it looks really close to Silver Strand by Sherwin Williams. So I think if you get a sample of that, it’d be a good place to start! Good luck!

  40. Hello! I love your blog, you’re so helpful! I am wanting to know the colors used in the interior of the home on Rockwood Story (season 1 episode 4). I have searched everywhere, and can’t seem to find them. Particularly the cabinets, island, and kitchen/living room walls and trim. I am wanting the same look and pointed my walls SW Sea Salt and trim SW Pure White. Maybe it is because I don’t have as much natural light, but it looks a lot darker and green than I expected. Still a very pretty color! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    1. Hi Jennifer, thanks so much for your sweet comment! The interior walls of that house are Silver Strand by Sherwin Williams (similar to Seal Salt but with a touch more gray). I wasn’t able to confirm the cabinetry or trim colors, but my favorite color for trim is Benjamin Moore’s White Dove. It’s a nice clean white with a slightly warm hue (not too stark and also looks great on walls!) Good luck and thanks for reading 🙂

  41. Hello! I love the bedroom paint color in the Shotgun House—it looks like a peacock/teal color. Would ou perhaps know the name and manufacturer? Thank you!

    1. I need help picking out colors that’s going to look fabulous on a house we just brought. The house was built in 1870. It’s a very pale yellow siding and the roof is kinda like a pomegranate red metal roof. And I’m having a hard time picking out a color that’s going to really look nice for shutters , front door and trim. If I send a picture could you please give me your thoughts on it. I love your farmhouse style. Thanks

      1. Thanks so much for reading my blog Darlene! Unfortunately, I don’t offer paint consultation services at this time. Good luck with your project!

  42. I watched the Beachum house project last night from Mexia. I loved the paint colors used in the entrance way, living room, and dining room/kitchen area. Would you be able to tell me the color names used in each of those rooms? I am currently building a new home and definitely looking to incorporate some gray/grayish blue colors in the living areas. I also have found a web page that lists Joanna’s top 5 favorite colors to use on projects. I am really liking the Oyster Bay color that was on that list for a bedroom choice as well. Thanks so much.

    1. I loved the colors in the Beachum house too! Let me see if I can track those down for you. I know Joanna is using colors from her Magnolia paint line in Season 4, but I can try to find some similar colors that might work for you. The Oyster Bay is a lovely color as well – we actually just painted our Rec Room that color and I love it (looks especially nice w/ White Dove trim!)

      1. Great! Thanks so much. I was actually looking at the Sherwin Williams pallette online last night and comparing against gallery pictures online of the Beachum house. I am thinking the colors are close to the color strip of SW 9144 Moonmist to SW 9150 Endless Sea. The living room is close to SW 9149 Inky Blue and the entrance and kitchen/dining somewhere near SW 9146 Faded Flaxflower to SW 9147 Favorite Jeans. What do you think? My builder is giving me one coat of one color through the entire interior and I chose SW 9014 Eider White for a hint of gray in order to avoid bright white walls to start. Using no VOC paint as well!

        1. Hey Joe – sorry, I wasn’t able to track down the exact color Joanna used in the Beachum house 🙁 It looks like she is under contractual obligation with her new paint line and is unable to release any info? Which seems weird because everyone would want to use it if she could just share the color! From my monitor the color looks blue with green undertones and I’m afraid the paint strip you chose (moonmist, etc..) may lean more towards the blue/periwinkle side. I would recommend the paint strip starting with SW 6225 Sleepy Blue through 6230 Rainstorm, or the one right next to that SW 6218 Tradewind through 6223 Still Water. Those both have green undertones which I think is more in line with the Beachum house. As always, buy a few sample cans to test in your own space first to see how it works with your own natural light sources. Good luck!

          1. Great! I am not the best with dialing in on a match so thanks for clarifying. I will definitely check out those colors you mentioned. Thanks again.

  43. Yes I love all of the colors. I need help. When you walk in my livingroom you can see my kitchen, my dining room, hall & if you take a few steps you can see my family room. What colors do I use. I also have oak floors & oak kitchen cabinets. Should I use one main color throughout. I also do not have a lot of light. Please help me, I am stressed

    1. Hi Kim – you can definitely use the same color throughout your home if you’d like. Or you can use similar colors by sticking to colors in the same color range on the same paint strip. A good neutral to try would be Benjamin Moore’s Edgecomb Gray or Revere Pewter. They are located next to each other in my fan deck – both are good neutrals in the “greige” family (depending on your lighting situation, they can read either gray or tan.) The best thing to do is decide if you’d like your paint colors to be more cool or warm, then buy a few paint samples and put them on your walls to observe during different times of day. Natural light plays a huge factor in how the colors will look in your own space. Never pick out a paint color in the store – the lighting is horrible and no where close to natural. Good luck!

  44. Do you know what color the walls are in Paw Paw’s House? I used Polar Bear in BEHR Paint, is that similar to White Dove in SW?

    1. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to determine the exact color Joanna used for that house. In Season 3 she used colors from her own paint line – so to my eye it looks close to her “Shiplap” color. A good alternative to try would be Classic Gray by Benjamin Moore. And yes, from what I can tell on my monitor Behr’s Polar Bear looks similar to White Dove 🙂

    1. Joanna used her own paint line in the Season 3 homes, so I can’t confirm what color that is – but a good one to try would be Oyster Bay by Sherwin Williams. Hope this helps 🙂

    1. Hi Michelle, I can’t confirm the trim color used in the house. But I know the interior walls are Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray. I would recommend Benjamin Moore White Dove or Simply White for a nice white (but not too stark.) thanks for reading 🙂

  45. I am in love with Joanna’s laundry room and wondered if you knew the paint on the cabinets in the pic with the country sink?

    1. her laundry room is gorgeous! I don’t know the exact color but you could try Benjamin Moore Fieldstone or Sherwin Williams Intellectual Gray 🙂

      1. I was wondering if you could tell me what the color of the walls and ceiling were in the episode 12 the 5th street story. Thank you.

        1. Hi Cindy, the interior walls are Sherwin Williams Passive. I’m not sure what the ceiling is, but it looks like a standard ceiling white color which you can get in gallons at big box stores (Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) Hope this helps!

    1. I’m actually working on a post about exterior paint, so stay tuned 🙂 We painted the exterior of Mouse House and used the color Intellectual Gray by Sherwin Williams (it’s a nice grayish taupe color) and we paired it with black shutters. I’ll be posting the full details soon.

    1. Hi Joy – I think you mean Season 2 episode 1, right? If so, the kitchen color for that house was Dovetail by Sherwin Williams. Hope this helps! 😉

  46. the white color of furniture is my favorite color.I need help for interior home paint which color is best with white color of furniture

    1. Hi Abbie – do you mean what color wall paint goes well with white furniture? If so, I think there is lots of lovely colors. I would try a nice gray (something like the SW Mindful Gray) or maybe a neutral like Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.

  47. Hi – Do you happen to know what paint color was used in the open concept family/kitchen area in season 4, episode 3 “Bright open design” for the Yieldings?

  48. Thanks for the boost of confidence in this post! We JUST chose SW Alabaster for the trim color in a newly purchased rental home that we are renovating from top to bottom but are looking for a color or two to paint the walls that would pair nicely with it. Any suggestions? This particular home doesn’t get a lot of natural light. We’ve typically gone with SW Divine White and SW Kilim Beige, but because we are painting the cabinetry and trim and doors in Alabaster, we are looking to maybe switch it up a bit and try something new that’s not as beige but not entirely gray either. Thoughts?

    1. Hi Jacki – some good neutrals to try would be Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter or Edgecomb Gray. Good luck!

  50. I am leaning towards my cabinets/trim to be painted alabaster In new home. What color should I use for the ceiling? Alabaster?

    1. If you want to keep things simple, you could definitely do the ceiling Alabaster as well. Otherwise, we usually just use a generic flat “ceiling white” from Menards or another big box store – it’s cheaper than SW paint too 🙂 good luck!

  51. Hello!

First off, The comments in this blog are soo helpful. I am wondering what is the color used in the dining room and throughout the house except Nursery (SW Silver Strand) for the Dutch Door House Season 2, Episode 2.

    Thank you

    1. So glad you found the post & comments helpful Leslie 🙂 The paint color in the interior of the Dutch Door House is Mindful Gray by Sherwin Williams. Thanks for reading!

  52. Thank you for the color names. I always wish I could spend an hour in each room that she does so that I don’t miss anything. I notice that Joanna often uses a dark charcoal or black on islands and other specialty pieces that she wants to stand out. Do you know what the color is? As with all colors, there are so many levels of color in the spectrum.
    Thanks!
    Marilyn

  53. Hello,
Can you tell me what color they used in the entryway and kitchen for season 4 episode 7, the Beachum’s house?

    Thank you

    1. Hi Leslie, unfortunately I don’t have paint info for season 4 as she used paint from her own line for those homes. Sorry!

  54. Hi There,

I’m so happy I found your blog! Quick question– we are currently remodeling our house. Our last home was mostly shaker beige. We want something similar in regards to warmth, but lighter. Suggestions?

    1. Hi Megan, you can try Benjamin Moore’s Edgecomb Gray (which is not gray at all!) or Manchester Tan. Or if you like a color but want it lighter, you can ask your paint department to mix the color at 50% – which will give you the same hue, but just not as dark. Hope this helps!

  55. Love this post as I am doing a major remodel. Do you have any information on some of her favorite exterior colors?

    1. Thanks Christine! I am actually planning to write an exterior paint post very soon 🙂 We used Intellectual Gray (sherwin williams) for our flip house and loved it! Good luck!

  56. your ideas and talent very much appreciated. I need your help in picking colors for our exterior lake house project. we will be putting trex down for both front porch and back porch which is beg and will be showing up a lot from the lake. the color of trex is saddle and is a lighter color of chocolate. our house has a lot going on architecturally with detached garage and wood trim around side of house. I have spent so much money on samples and really need help. Can you recommend a house body color and trim and shutters. Also need to know should I paint garage doors color of trim or color of shutters or house? I could send pic of house if needed. Any and all suggestions appreciated. Painters here next week and I am lost.

    1. Sorry, but I don’t offer paint consultation services at this time. It’s just too time consuming and very hard to do without seeing the space in person. Natural light is tricky and even recommending tried and true colors can still look different in a space with limited lighting. Exterior colors are even harder! With that said, I can tell you that we recently painted the flip house Intellectual Gray by Sherwin Williams. It’s a nice taupey gray with brown undertones. And we painted the front door and shutters Urbane Bronze by Benjamin Moore (a nice black with bronze undertones – lots of depth!). Good luck!

  57. Hi! Thank you for sharing all of the “insider” paint colors for the early Fixer Upper Seasons. Would you be able to name the paint color in the dining and living room areas of the “Tire Swing House” from Season 2 episode 6? I love how the red accents look with it. Thank you!

  59. Hi – I’m currently renovating my master bath to make it look like the bathroom in “A Veteran Home Makeover” (Fixer Upper, Season 4, Episode 11). Can anyone help me find the exact color Joanna used to paint the walls? It’s that dark rich gray-green. I’d love to find that!

  60. I was looking for the exterior colors of the Fixer Uppers Brick House in Season 3 Episode 2 and came across your website & blog. I don’t usually read all the way through a lot of blogs, but yours was SO unselfishly informative, I couldn’t stop. You are incredible! Thank you in advance of any help you can offer!

    1. Thanks so much Diane! I wasn’t able to find the exact color used in that episode, but I would recommend trying BM Ballet White for the body and SW Dorian Gray for trim. But definitely get some samples to see how they look in your lighting situation. Hope this helps 🙂

  61. Hello!! I love your blog!! <3 I am thinking of painting my Master bedroom and bath silverstrands… we have a honey colored floor and wood colored kitchen cabinets, what color would look nice in the kitchen and living? I am so back and forth about repose gray, agreeable gray, etc.. do you have a favorite

  62. Hi Christy! Love your blog. I’ve scoured the internet and can’t find anywhere what paint color was used in the Matsumoto master bedroom. I love it so much and want to use it in my new home. Do you have any idea what they used?? Thank you!

    1. Thanks for reading Kellie! Unfortunatelly, I don’t have any info on that house. She used her own line of paints from Killz in that season. But I think you could try Argos or Magnetic Gray (both Sherwin Williams) to get a similar look. Definitely get some samples to see how they look in your space though! Hope this helps!

  63. Thank you for this post! I want to paint my red brick fireplace either a gray or white color any suggestions? If I paint the fireplace a grey can I still paint my walls a lighter shade of gray? Thanks for your help!

    1. I think gray for a fireplace would look great and we actually painted the FP in Mouse House gray last year (although I haven’t posted about it yet – #badblogger, lol) We used Fieldstone by Benjamin Moore and it was a very light gray, but looked great with all the white and light tones in the house. You can definitely paint your FP a darker gray and your walls a lighter gray. I think that would be very pretty! Just choose a lighter gray that you like and then stay on the same paint strip swatch but move down 1-2 spaces for a darker color. For example you could choose SW Repose Gray for your walls and then a darker shade of SW Dorian Gray for your fireplace 🙂 Hope that makes sense!

Or do you go with just a normal ceiling paint out of the can? Also, i just ordered Roman Shades that are a cream color. Is the White Dove so white that it would make cream look dirty? Thanks so much!

    1. For ceilings, we just use Menards flat ceiling paint (we’re cheapos, ha!) And I think your cream shades will look great with the White Dove, but definitely grab a sample and test things out first. Good luck!

  66. Hello! We are about to start renovations and wanted your opinion on good shiplap and trim color. It has 20 ft ceiling with beams which we will paint also. Can you help!? Thank You! Kirsten.

    1. I don’t know for sure, but yes my guess would be Alabaster as that’s the color of her island & cabinets and it looks like a good match.

    1. sorry Michelle, but I don’t have the info for that house. I’ll try to keep looking though and post here if I find it. Thanks for reading!

  70. Thank you so much for your blog. On all 5 colors does she use satin paint on the walls. And the trim would it be glossy. Or does she use flat on the walls and satin or semi gloss on the trim? Thank you. Pat Madison

    1. So glad this info is helpful Pat! I don’t have info on the exact sheen, but I would think she bases it on client preference. Some people prefer a shinier surface. Personally, I do not like flat since it is very hard to wipe clean. I use satin or eggshell on all our walls and semi gloss on doors and trim. Thanks for reading!

  71. I just subscribed to your blog. I’m in the process of buying a condo and can’t wait to see more of your fantastic ideas!

  72. Hi great post! My last flip house I used SW Repose Gray on all interior walls, with BM Cloud White on all trim. It was nice, however, not as big of a contrast as I would have liked. For my current flip, thinking of doing Repose Gray again, but need a nice white trim color to do with that. Hardwood floors with natural finish (and clear poly), exposed chimney in kitchen…farmhouse look. OR I’m considering a white on white look….and looking for 2 good whites (walls and trim) that would give a hint of contrast but not enough to make the walls look off-white or yellow-ish if that makes sense?? Any suggestions you can give on either paint scheme would be awesome! Thx!!!

    1. Hi Kad, I really like BM White Dove for walls and Simply White for trim which is what we’re doing in our current house. Another good bright white for trim is BM Super White. I think either option would look great. Good luck with your flip!

      1. Thank you for this incredible wealth of information! I’ve been searching for the wall paint color in the main open areas of season 2, episode 13, “Asian Ranch” goes French Country. It’s a beautiful warm taupe/gray (depending on lighting) with blue undertones. Do you know the color? Thanks for any help!

        1. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact color she used there – but I’d recommend trying Repose Gray. It’s a beautiful neutral gray and I wrote an in-depth post all about it here: Repose Gray

  78. Good evening,
Is it possible to match the Americana egg and the cloudy gray in her colors? I live in a home that was built in 1885 with a fairly dark staircase. I was thinking the Americana egg on the walls and cloudy gray on ceilings. Thanks so much

    1. Hi Corine – it looks to me like Americana Egg is similar to Comfort Gray by Sherwin Williams. I can’t find a match to the Cloudy Gray, but it looks like a soft light green on my monitor? Personally, I keep it simple and just paint our ceilings the flat white that comes in the ceiling paint cans at Menards 🙂 Be sure to get some samples first to test out the color in your own space.

  79. I have sampled the repose grey by SW, but it’s definitely a blue grey? Curious if the gallon will look different. Samples seem to be off on shades. Everything I’ve read is repose is a neutral grey? I’m looking for a soft neutral grey, not dark.?

    1. Paint colors will definitely look differently based on the amount of natural light in the room. If you have a darker north facing space, you’ll probably want to use a warmer gray – SW Useful Gray is warmer with green undertones. I do not think the gallons will look any differently than the samples. Definitely keep trying until you find one that looks good in your space – and unfortunately, the only way to do that successfully is to keep trying samples. Good luck!

  80. On the first picture of shiplap wall could you tell me what color gray is used on fireplace in adjoined room? Thanks

  81. Hi really enjoyed this. My walls are stonington. Gray by Benjamin moore. I am looking for a dark gray that will look good on a fire place that will look good against my stoning ton gray wall. Any suggestions?

    1. Hi Regina – a nice medium neutral gray is Chelsea Gray (Benjamin Moore) or if you’d like something a little darker try BM Kendall Charcoal. Good luck with your project!

  82. Hi! Thank you so much for your helpful posts. Do you know what colors are used in Season 3 Episode 3 A House in the Woods? Specifically the room with the diamond wall – seems to be the same grey used on trim throughout house. Also would like to know the other wall color. Thank you!

    1. I don’t have the exact wall or trim color for that room. However the white walls are SW Alabaster. By looking at the photos, I think SW Mindful Gray or Dorian Gray would give you a similar look. Thanks for stopping by, Nicole!

    1. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact colors used (looks like it is stucco – so may be a standard stucco color?) but you could try Ballet White or Pale Oak both by Benjamin Moore for a similar look.

  87. Hi, I have a quick question about the picture of the front door where the walls are painted alabaster. Where did you get the door? Is it old or new?
    Thanks for any info!

    1. Hi Abby – the door is new and it’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from Masonite and we added 12″ sidelites on either side. Thanks for reading!

  88. I love watching Fixer Upper. I watch them over and over. I am now building a house on the Intracoastal waterway in North Carolina. I am only at the stage of picking out exterior paints, I love SW Oyster Bay for the body of the house. Thinking of going with Extra White for the trim. My house is among live oaks, faces the south, and is lowcountry style.
But, I am so confused as to what color to paint the shutters and doors. Would love some suggestions? I am using Sherwin Williams paints. Thank you.

    1. Your house sounds beautiful and I adore Oyster Bay! I think there’s probably 2 different ways you could go… a dark greenish black could be pretty (similar to this pic like Sherwin Williams Jasper. Or you could do a lighter color like SW Sea Salt (maybe at 50% to go even lighter with more contrast against the Oyster Bay?) Just grab a few samples first and see what you think! Good luck 🙂

    1. Hi Jody – it’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from Masonite. We also added 12″ sidelites to both sides. Hope this helps 🙂

      1. 150i% Urbane bronze on the whole door ? I painted my door, side lights etc 150% urbane bronze satin hut it does not seem to have as much of a dimension as yours – when. I zoom in on your picture it looks like you may have used a darker color in the crevices .
Did you paint it urban bronze satin and 150% urbane bronze for the dimension In crevices to give it dimension or did you add black? Thank you so much.

        1. Lisa – yes, we used the same color (Urbane Bronze at 150%) on the entire door & side lites. I’m guessing the lighting from the photo is making the crevices appear a bit darker. We did use semi-gloss sheen, so that could make a difference also if you used satin. If you’re wanting a bit more depth, you could go back to your paint store and have them add a touch more black to your color. They are usually willing to remix or adjust colors if you’re not happy. Good luck!

  89. Thank you for all your work to break down these ‘design secrets.’ I’m so glad I found your blog! Do you happen to know what color Joanna used to paint the exterior of their restaurant, Magnolia Table? I love the Spanish-Style, but am looking for a non-yellow white/cream (if that makes sense).

    1. thanks for your sweet comments Lauren! Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact color she used for her restaurant but you could try Ballet White by Benjamin Moore for a similar look. Definitely get a sample first though – hope this helps!

      1. Hi Christy!
I love your content! Very helpful! Do you happen to know the color of the “Black” fascia/trim they used for the Magnolia Table?
        Thanks in advance!
        Fred

        1. So sorry, I’m not sure what black they used for the restaurant. One of my faves is Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze as seen on the our door in this post. Another good one to try is Iron Ore (SW)

  90. I really enjoy your blog. What a tremendous resource! Do you by chance know the color of blue Joanna used on the lower kitchen cabinets in the Three Little Pigs house/ 1905 Craftsman fixer upper? I have searched high and low with no success. Thanks for your help in advance!

    Leanne

    1. Hi Leanne – I’m not sure the exact color she used but you could try Benjamin Moore Hale Navy for a similar look. Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂

  91. I really enjoy your blog!
Just purchased 2 French Blue nightstands to go with Joanna’s queen scalopped bed:)
Searching for a paler paint to accent walls…any ideas as the furniture has not arrived?
    Thank you…Teri

    1. thanks so much for visiting my blog Teri 🙂 I bet those nightstands will look so pretty next to Joanna’s bed! Without seeing your space, it’s hard to know what color paint to go with. It also might be a good idea to wait until the furniture does arrive before making a decision. We just painted our master Pale Oak by Benjamin Moore and it’s a nice pale gray/beige that changes color a bit depending on how much natural light is in the space. Good luck!

  92. Hi I just found your blog. What is the gray color that you used on the bricks in the picture you posted of your shiplap? Thanks so much. Suzie

    1. Hi Suzie – we painted the fireplace Fieldstone by Benjamin Moore. That pic makes it look darker than it actually is though. Hope this helps!

  93. Hi,
We are between Agreeable Gray and Repose Gray. They both look so similar, but I think we are leaning towards Agreeable. Our painter is planning to paint the ceiling flat white. He is also suggesting we paint the trim the same color as the ceiling but in semi-gloss. Does that sound good or should we do satin so it’s not too shiny? Also, would it be better to do a softer white like alabaster on the trim?

    1. Hi Kyle – both of those colors are great and I think you’ll be very happy with Agreeable Gray (which has a more taupe/brown undertone vs. Repose that has just a hint of purple). I think flat white for your ceiling would be fine since I’m not one to spend more $$ on a ceiling unless I’m specifically wanting it to be a focal point. However, I would be a tad hesitant to use a “flat white” color on my trim without seeing a sample first. There are so many DIFFERENT whites and trim can definitely be a focal point of a room. I would ask your painter for a sample of it (semi-gloss is fine and what I personally prefer for trim) and maybe also try a few other sample trim colors (I’d recommend White Dove & Simply White) then you can compare to your painter’s sample and see which you prefer. Good luck!

  94. What paint color do you use for the ceiling and trim with Silver Strand on the walls? Also, what does it mean to have the paint mixed 50% or 150%? Sorry, I’m new to all this, we just got our first starter home. Thanks 🙂

    1. Hi Gina, for our Mouse House laundry room we used White Dove (by Benjamin Moore) for the trim. We usually always just use the generic “ceiling white” paint from Menards or a big box store for our ceilings. It’s cheap and does the trick. When I get my paint mixed at the store, if I tell them I want it mixed at 50% then that just means they only put in 50% of the pigment instead of the full amount (which results in a lighter color.) If it’s mixed at 150% they put in 1.5 times the amount of pigment which creates a richer, sometimes darker color. It’s just a little trick that designers use when they like the tone but just want a tad lighter or darker color. Hope this helps! 🙂

  95. If using the alabaster color for walls, what color should the trim be painted? Considering this option for our master bedroom to lighten it up.
    Thanks!

    1. I like White Dove or Simply White (both by Benjamin Moore) – grab a sample to test it out though. Good luck!

    2. Hi Anna, we used White Dove for the trim in Mouse House with Alabaster walls. There is not a lot of color contrast but it looked lovely. Good luck!

  96. Can you tell what color paint was used in the 1937 Craftmans house, season 3 episode 13 in the master bedroom Thanks so much for your help.

    1. I’m not completely sure about that room, but you could try SW Sea Salt for a similar look.

  97. II was wondering if you had any thoughts for 212 sq ft wall in my living room. I have a stoned fireplace that has browns, grays in it and I was thinking of putting up shiplap on that wall and painting it different color than the rest of the room and then I don’t know. It is such a HUGE wall and i have 12 ft. ceilings in that room. Got any suggestions?

  98. Your blog is amazing! Can you tell me the wall color in the kitchen of the Chip 2.0 house and the backsplash they used? Thank you so much!!

    1. thanks so much Ashlynn 🙂 The color of the kitchen walls is Agreeable Gray (sherwin williams) and it looks like they used a handmade subway tile for the backsplash. I did a little digging and you can find a similar product here on Amazon. Hope this helps and thanks for reading!

  99. Hi there! I love your blog! I’ve been searching like crazy for the exterior colors of the carriage house. We are having our home painted next week and I’d love to know the colors. Any chance you know the siding and shutter colors used?? Thanks so much!

    Leanne

  100. Can you tell me the colors used on the exterior of the Carriage House? I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find it but I’d really like to paint my house these colors. Thank you!!

  104. Hi! You mention “haint blue on porch ceilings.” Haint blue is actually a much deeper blue than the porch ceiling pale blues. Haint blue is used primarily on shutters and doors to keep out bad spirits.

  105. Hi! I’d love to know the color they painted the exterior brick in the Whyte house (Episode 9 – the Chip 2.0 house). Thank you!

  106. this is off the topic of paint, but i’m curious what kind and color flooring you have in the home pics with Alabaster on the walls? Perhaps that is your own home? i think i am looking for flooring that is similarly toned. thanks!

  107. Hi Christy, I am so new at this and have only just started watching Fixer Upper. I now want to paint the inside of my home. I am planning to use SW Alabaster for the inside walls in my whole house to keep things simple. Please let me know what color paint should I use for the ceiling and the baseboards? Also my cabinets are very dark cherry wood so I want to get them refaced. Is that a good idea? Or should I get them painted? And what color cabinets would go well with Alabaster walls? I prefer cream than white. Please HELP! THANKS! I am desperate as I am so duh with this stuff.

    1. Hi Jeanette, I think Alabaster will be so pretty on your walls. If you want to keep things super easy, just paint your trim the same color. If you want a bit of a contrast, you could try Sherwin Williams Simply White which is a tad bit whiter than Alabaster. I honestly can’t recommend what to do with your cabinets since I can’t see them in person, but if they are still in good shape you could definitely paint them. Which is something you could do yourself to save some money. Joanna painted her cabinets Alabaster as well as all her walls & trim so you can’t go wrong with that. For ceilings, we always just use the flat white ceiling color you can get in gallons at the big box stores – it’s cheaper and does the job just fine. Good luck!

      1. thanks for your quick response Christy. i have been reading all the comments in your blog and your responses so just want to make sure. Besides the SW Simply White trim i could also use the BM White Dove for the trim right? but it would have to be oil based? and i should tell the SW guy that when i go to buy it right? also, when i order the Alabaster paint for the walls i am getting that in eggshell/ satin finish and not flat right? and the Alabaster paint i get for the cabinets i get in an oil base? is it called something else at SW? or should i just tell him i need this Alabaster for cabinets. thanks and so sorry to bug you again. appreciate your help tremendously!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

        1. you could definitely do BM White Dove for the trim if you want – it’s all a matter of personal preference! But I would definitely suggest buying a sample first to see how you like it in your space, as paint colors vary DRASTICALLY based on natural light and other undertones in the room. We personally never use oil based paint as it’s too much of a pain to clean up, etc… but I do believe SW offers a cabinet paint that cures a little harder (can’t think of the name – just ask your SW person what they recommend!) For walls, I would recommend the eggshell/satin finish (I think flat scuffs too easily and is hard to keep clean.) So for trim, I’d just get semi-gloss latex – it’s always worked well for us! 🙂

  108. Help!! Can you tell me what the exterior colors are on the Robinson Farmhouse? The grey and the red door too please! I’m going crazy trying to find them:) Thank you!

    1. Hi Jamie – the red door is Flower Pot SW 6334 by Sherwin-Williams. I’m unable to find the exact exterior gray color but you could try Dorian Gray by Sherwin Williams for a similar look (but be sure to buy a sample first!) Hope this helps!

      1. I’m new to your blog, but loving it. Thank you for answering me so quickly on the fireplace color. I’m looking forward to learning from all you have here.

  109. Hi Christy, you mentioned that Joanna used SW Alabaster for her kitchen cabinets and you stated that it was oil based bcos it helps with ease of cleaning and longevity. however later on you stated that you never use oil based paints bcos its a pain to clean up? I have someone coming to give me a bid on painting my cabinets should i tell him i want an oil based paint or is it laquer paint? you also said that SW has a cabinet paint that cures harder? what does that mean? Finally on a separate note, I would like to do a shiplap wall in my kitchen as an accent wall. where do i buy the shiplap and can you let me know the wideness of the shiplap to buy? i like the broader kind and not the narrower one. Hope you can help me with these questions. thanks for responding so quickly to my prior inquiries. iI really do appreciate your help. thanks,
    jeanette

    1. Hi Jeanette – sorry for the confusion. Joanna does use oil base paints for her cabinets, however I personally don’t because it’s hard to clean out the brushes and rollers, etc… and we’ve always used latex which has worked fine for us. But this is just my own personal preference and I’m not a professional painter so maybe ask your contractor what they suggest. I’m sure they can steer you in the right direction! You can read this post which talks about where we buy our shiplap. And I think we used the 8″ wide boards. Again, that is just our personal preference 🙂

  110. Christy, Home Depot does carry a white shiplap that is about 7-8 inches wide. can you tell me if this is glued to the wall or nailed? and will a painter I hire to paint my home know how to do this? Also, do i have to paint over the white shiplap or can i leave it the way it is. it is going to be an accent wall. thanks-jeanette

  113. Hi Christy,
Love this article! So very helpful! Do you happen to know the name of the paint color used on the exterior brick work on the house where you show the Urbane Bronze door?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  114. Thank you so much for doing this! I am looking for the wall, ceiling and trim colors for Episode 14 The “Hot Sauce House” I have been searching everywhere for these and I did a search on your site and skimmed the comments and didn’t see. Do you know what these were? I would also love to know what flooring she used and stain color on the island. But I would be happy with just the paint colors.

    Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Danielle, I don’t know the exact colors for that house. But you could try Edgecomb Gray on the walls and Revere Pewter on the trim (both Benjamin Moore) for a similar look. Be sure to get samples first though! Good luck!

  115. I’m wondering what the Sherwin Williams equivalent would be for Beach Cottage by Kelly Moore? I love the master bedroom color in the Nut House, but there isn’t a Kelly Moore retailer anywhere close to me.

    Lovely blog, by the way!!

  116. Dear Christy,
Thank you SO MUCH for your wonderful blog on shiplap and paint colors. I have read it all probably 4 times! HOWEVER, i’m still in a pickle. i had a lot going on and didn’t think to choose the paint color before I had a tile man just put up some white subway tile. Now Im stuck with “white ice” from Floor & Decor. I would really like to paint the kitchen cabs and all walls Alabaster, as I love this color. Except now I might have to rip out the new backsplash to find a tile that matches better? Do you think Alabaster cabinets and walls would look ok with true white subway tile? Countertops are black granite with some sparkly gold in it. (this was here when we moved in and haven’t changed it). i’m open to Simply White or Cloud White, but don’t want to go too white on the walls. I guess cabs could be Simply White and walls Alabaster or White Dove? Would love any thoughts you have about what kitchen cab paint color goes with true white subway tile. Thank you! Kathryn

    1. Thanks so much for your sweet comment Kathryn 🙂 The best advice I can give you is to run to the store and get a few samples. Spending a few bucks on samples is really the only way to see the colors in your own space, in your own lighting, and with all of the other undertones in the room (tile, countertops, etc…) I definitely don’t think you need to rip out your new backsplash! Although I have no idea what color “white ice” is. Is it a pretty basic white? Or does it lean more blue? The best way to tell this is to paint the sample colors on some posterboard and hold them up next to your tile (in natural day light) If there is not a glaring noticeable difference, then I think you will be fine with any of the colors you mentioned. If I personally had to choose, I would suggest Simply White for your cabs as it is the cleanest white of the bunch w/no undertones. You could then do either Alabaster or White Dove on your walls (both lean a bit creamy/yellow). But definitely get some samples as even the direction/exposure of your room (north vs south, etc..) can change the perception of these colors. Good luck!

  117. Hi Christy,
We have gutted our rental property. I am planning to use White Dove for doors and trim and Alabaster for the walls. What do you think the color of the vinyl plank flooring from home depot I could use? I was thinking of Chiffon lace or Ocala Oak through out the house with White cabinets and I am not sure what color counter tops I should use too that goes well with the flooring.
Thanks a ton for your help.

    1. Hey Mickey, we have rental properties too and have used the vinyl plank before. It’s a good product that goes down super quick. Your paint color choices sound great, however I think the Chiffon Lace/Ocala Oak are both way too light for flooring (especially a rental.) In my opinion, the Easy Oak, Lighthouse Oak, or Sterling Oak would be much better. You want the floors to be a neutral background for your other finish options. White cabinets sound great and I’d go with a faux marble laminate like this or a gray/taupe color like this. Good luck with your project!

  118. Yours, Mine, Ours, and a home on the river episode 14 of season 2 has a green, blue exterior color. Could you possibly tell me the name of this paint color?

    1. There is no episode 14 for season 2, so I’m assuming you mean episode 4 “The House on the River”…and if so, the exterior color they used was Stonybrook by Benjamin Moore 🙂

  119. This page is amazing, thank you for creating it. Do you know what paint color they used for the exterior of Episode 15 – The Giraffe House
    Thank you

    1. I’m sorry I don’t have the specific details on that house. It looks like they used stucco on the exterior. A good paint color to try would be BM Revere Pewter. Thanks for reading!

    1. Hi Cassie, we got that light at Lowes but they no longer carry it. However I was able to find a very similar version on Birch Lane. Hope this helps!

    1. Sorry, I don’t know. You could try emailing (or online chatting) them and asking – sometimes they will tell you!

  122. Any idea of the colors used in the hot sauce house? Specifically the laundry room cabinets and walls? Thanks!!

  123. Christy, I am one of the people that buys 5 sample cans of paint to pick a front door color.
I so like the Urbane Bronze that has a photo on 50 Front door colors. On there it says to mix Urbane Bronze 150%.
I had SW mix the sample can and it appears little lighter than the paint chip at regular strength.
I want that rich dark color that looks almost black with the brown/bronze undertone.
Can you suggest something that will help. Do you think it was a JoAnna’s paint instead of SW.
    Please HELP.

    1. Hi Sherrill – I know it wasn’t Joanna’s paint because my hubby is the one who got it and painted that door 🙂 Keep in mind too – that he used 2-3 coats to get that finish so your color will not be as intense if you’re just looking at the swatch they paint on the top of the can. If you’re still unhappy with the color, just go back to SW and have the guys add more pigment – tell them exactly what you’re wanting (deeper, richer black, etc…) and they can tweak it until you’re happy. They are always able to add MORE just can’t take any out 😉 Good luck!!

  124. Please, please, PLEASE tell me the exterior color she used for the giraffe house! We have a similar stone exterior, and I’m having the hardest time finding a good match! Thank ypu!

  125. Christie, I love all of these colors and all of your wonderful suggestions! I have never had a easy time picking a good color. It seems to be much easier for some than others. I enjoyed reading this blog it gives me some great ideas . My only question at this time is what finish is most suggested for a bedroom? Flat, matt, semi gloss, etc?
    Thank you for your time,
    Kathy

    1. Thanks so much for your sweet comment Kathy! I personally use a satin or eggshell finish for all interior walls. I don’t use matte or flat because it is much harder to wipe down (and we have 3 kiddos and a big muddy golden retriever who likes to swipe her tail against the walls, lol!) But it’s also personal preference to what you like, so any finish is fine if that’s what you love!! Thanks for reading!!

  126. Do you know the exterior colors used on the Copy House? We just purchased our forever home and I want to paint it the same color scheme.

    1. Hi Patti, I don’t know the exact colors for that house. But you could try the following for a similar vibe (although be sure to grab samples first to make sure you like them!) Walls: Sherwin Williams (SW) Gray Matters, Shutters: SW Peppercorn, front door: Benjamin Moore Knoxville Gray

  127. I read most of the comments for 2016 and forgive me if you mentioned this before but I need to ask….. do you know where can I get the actual door painted with Urban Bronze. I love that door style but I am not sure where to get it. I really appreciate your help.

    1. Hi Paulina – you’re not alone! I get lots of questions about that door 🙂 We ordered it from our local lumber company. It’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from Masonite and we added 12″ sidelites. I also chose the 2 over 2 grill pattern. I just think it’s more modern and farmhousey. Home Depot sells a similar version here and you may be able to specify a 2/2 grill pattern. Hope this helps!

  128. Hi!! I love the front door stain listed above, Urbane Bronze. What exactly do you mean by 150%? Thanks for all your posts, I’ve enjoyed reading through them!!

    1. Hi there, the front door is painted not stained. So I asked the guys at the paint store to increase the pigments in Urbane Bronze by 150%. Basically, increasing the pigment makes the color darker and richer. Hope this helps! 🙂

  129. So we are building a house and I have picked out Alabaster for my cabinets and trim, as well as alabaster in flat for my shiplap accent walls, my main walls will be Repose gray and my interior doors will be Gauntlet Gray. Do you think that will be to much Alabaster or the Alabaster will be more on the cream side?

    1. I just sent you an email 😉 But as long as you’ve tested a sample in your space, I think Alabaster will look lovely with your other choices

  130. Hello, thanks for your post its very helpfu! DO you know what’s the exterior colors she used on prickly pear house? Thanks again for your help! 🙂

  131. I love the front door from your flip house that is painted the SW Urbane Bronze. Where did you get the actual door? I’ve been looking for that exact door and can’t find it anywhere. Thanks!

    1. Hi Amy, I answered the door question above: We ordered it from our local lumber company. It’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from Masonite and we added 12″ sidelites. I also chose the 2 over 2 grill pattern. Home Depot sells a similar version HERE and you may be able to specify a 2/2 grill pattern. Hope this helps!

  132. Do you by chance know what grey is used on the kitchen cabinets in Hillcrest Estates? I have scoured the internet and I can’t find it.

  133. Just painted our living room/kitchen walls (one open space) BM Revere Pewter in eggshell. It’s the perfect “greige”. We LOVE it! All the other grays we tried picked up undertones of either blue or green in our space. This one doesn’t. It’s a warm gray. If anyone’s looking for a beautiful neutral tone check it out, you won’t be disappointed!! Our trim & crown moldings are painted with Alabaster, the perfect combo!

  134. Christy,
Can you please tell me the exterior colors used on the baby blue house from season 3 episode 15??? I’ve been searching everywhere for this color and even emailed magnolia. It looks close to rainy days but no luck. We are getting ready to paint our dream home and we cant find this color to copy!!!

    1. Hi Victor, sorry for my late reply. Unfortunately, I don’t know what color they used in that reno. If I had to guess, I believe they were using her Magnolia Paints that year so I would look at the colors Weekend or Signature from her line which you can find here. Of course colors look soooo different on a tv or computer screen than they do in real life, but if you’re wanting a color similar to her look, you can show one of the pictures to the employees of a paint store (Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore) and they should be able to guide you to a similar color. Of course, always get samples first!! Good luck 🙂

  135. Hi Christy! Thanks you so much for this post. You have been looking to spruce up my exterior doors and fell in love with the SW Urbane Bronze at 150%. I went yesterday to purchase and the sample on the top of the paint can looks black. Really black, no brown indeed ones what so ever. By chance do you have your formula that I can reference to have them remake? I totally appreciate it if you do. Thanks again

    Misty

    1. Hi Misty, I’m so sorry I don’t have the formula for you as that door was painted over 3 years ago 🙁 I recommend painting a small section on posterboard or a sample board just to confirm the color, as those small swatches on the paint cans can be a bit deceiving (the type of light you’re in will give off a different look as well.) That door faced directly south and received warm sunlight throughout the day, so if your door faces North the color could potentially look different. If you’re still unhappy with the color, you can take the paint back to Sherwin Williams and have them add some brown pigment (raw umber maybe?) xo

  136. Hi Christy, Just a quick question…I love Joanna Gaines, and I love her color “Shiplap” from Magnolia Homes. Do you recommend a color from Sherwin Williams that is almost an exact match to that color?

    1. Hi Patti, you could try Silver Satin by Benjamin Moore for a similar look to her Shiplap color. I’m not sure of a Sherwin Williams brand, but if you only have a SW store near you, they will mix Benjamin Moore colors as well. xo

    1. unfortunately I don’t know that exact color she used. It looks like something like Stonington Gray or Coventry Gray (both Benjamin Moore) would give you a similar look.

  139. Hi Christy, this is one of my favorite articles I have read on your blog! I recently had the cabinets in my home refinished by a local wood refinishing company and they did a great job, but the stain I chose didn’t quite go with the walls or the decor of the room. Rather than getting the cabinets refinished again, I decided to repaint the walls in my home with Sherwin William’s Alabaster. I never would have picked this color if it weren’t for this post, but I’m so glad I did because it was the perfect color for my kitchen and I’m happy with the results!

  140. Hi, I want to paint my walls, trim and ceilings in Alabaster like Joanna’s own farmhouse. Do you know what sheens she used? If I use flat on my walls and ceiling, I’m not sure what sheen to use for my trim. Thank you!

    1. Hi there! I’m not sure what sheen she uses, but I personally use satin on my walls and semi-gloss on my trim. I prefer these sheens because they are easier to wipe down and keep clean. I think it’s all a matter of personal preference. Good luck!

  141. Hello Christy!
I apologize if this question has been asked before…but what color does Joanna use on the walls in her master bedroom (with the black metal bed, black fireplace and blue accents in rug, etc)?

    1. I’m not sure which room you are talking about, but if it’s her master bedroom in the farmhouse I don’t know the exact color but you could try Pale Oak or Classic Gray both by Benjamin Moore for a similar look.

  142. Hi Christy. I just love your website and all of your colour choices! We are currently updating our house and I’d love your input. We have Sherwin-Williams Navajo white all through our downstairs living areas with Tatami Tan in the study and feature above the fireplace. I’m thinking of repainting all of upstairs (currently builder’s flat browny beige) Agreeable Grey with maybe Languid Blue in the bathrooms. It would bump up against the Navajo White downstairs at the stairs wall. Do you think this would work without having to repaint downstairs the same colour? Would you paint the downstairs bedroom the Navajo White too with a Languid Blue bathroom or do it in the Agreeable grey?
P.S. We live in Texas and have visited Magnolia Farms a few times. It’s so gorgeous and always hard to tear yourself away! <3

    1. Hi Angel, sorry for the delay in responding! It’s very hard to say if your Navajo White will look good against your Agreeable Gray without seeing your space in person. The best thing to do would be to paint a large posterboard with Agreeable Gray so you can see what it looks like in your room with the Navajo White. Personally, I think those two colors may clash a bit – with the Navajo White being quite warm w/yellow undertones. But if it’s only next to it in a small space, it might be ok. Good luck!

  143. Hi Christy, love your blog. Can you share the exterior paint color, wood stain colors and stone name/manufacturer Joanna used on Episode 5, Season 5 for the La Pequena Colina house for the Aguilar family?

  144. Looking for the grayest gray (no blues or greens) for a good contrast in a very white bathroom. darker but not too dark. Sherwin Williams Repose is way too light as an example.
    Appreciate the help!

  146. Would you happen to know the kitchen wall colors in Season 2 episode 4 “The Riverside Dream”? Thanks for your help.

  147. Hey there,
My name is Sylvie and I am new to your web site and find out that in one of your beautiful pictures there is a black front door in the category of “Fixer Upper Paints Colors” the most popular of all time. The color is black and urban bronze from Sherwin Williams. It is exactly the front entry door that I chose. But seen it only in picture I don’t know the provenance .
As I haven’t seen any reference anywhere would it be possible to know who makes it?
    Thank You so much.
    Sylvie.

    1. Hi Sylvie,
Sorry for the late reply. If you scroll through the comments, I’ve mentioned the maker of that door lots of times 🙂 It’s the Belleville Smooth 1 Panel Door 3/4 Lite with Clear Glass from Masonite and we added additional 12″ sidelites on both sides. Thanks for reading!

    1. Hi Michelle, I don’t know her specific go to white exterior colors. But a few I’d personally recommend are Benjamin Moore Ballet White (it has a nice greige undertone and is not stark, blinding white on the exterior) and Benjamin Moore Classic Gray (looks gray inside, but outside it fades to a nice soft white) Definitely get samples to see how they look in your space 🙂

  148. Hello! Do you know what color/brand of paint the EXTERIOR of the shotgun house in fixer upper season 3 ep. 14 was painted? Thanks! 🙂

  149. I’m looking for a color to paint my main level. I currently tried north hampton putty and felt like it was too green and heavy. My crown molding and baseboards are white and I have deep cranberry velvet panels.throughout. Any idess?

    1. Hi Amy! I’m not really sure what you’re looking for but perhaps a nice soft cream or light tan? Benjamin Moore Winter Wheat is nice or for a bit darker you could try Manchester Tan but be sure to grab a few samples first. Good luck!

  150. Retired seniors enjoying Chip and Joanna for years along with the ease she has of putting furnishings and paint colors together. Our exterior home color will be SW Rushing River #7746 (soft gray green) and would love your opinion of the best muted cream/off white that goes with vinyl windows. Actual vinyl color is closest to SW7005. We’re using Peppercorn for the fascia and garage door color.
    Thank you 🙂

    1. Hi Diane! A nice warm white is Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. You don’t have to match your vinyl windows exactly – but I think this white would coordinate well. But always get a sample first. take care!

    1. It just means increasing the pigments in the formula which results in a bit richer color – just ask your paint guys at Sherwin Williams. They’re happy to help 🙂

  151. I am looking to paint my childcare space. I am blessed to have a childcare in my home and I am looking for the perfect calming color.

    1. Hi Christine! I think Woodlawn Blue and Beach Glass (both by Benjamin Moore) are pretty and calm blue colors.

  152. In episode 2 season 17 Right-Size Ranch Reno I would like to know what color paint was used on the walls in the living room – dinning room?

  153. Hi im trying to figure out what colors joanna used in season 2 episode 1 ” the little house on the prairie”. Particularly, the interior color she used in the kitchen above the subway tile. Also, is it the same color used above the shiplap throughout the living room and dining area?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Samantha – I believe it’s either Grizzle Gray or Dovetail (both by Sherwin Williams). It does appear to be the same color in both rooms, but I don’t know for sure. Just be sure to grab some samples first to make sure you like it (these peel & stick samples are affordable and eco friendly!) Thanks for reading 🙂

  154. Hello there, I am needing help with a paint color for my kitchen. I have dark cherry cabinets, beige tile flooring and granite that has specks of gray, black and beige. My appliances are stainless steel. I have an island that I would like to paint a shade darker than the walls. Thanks.

  155. Hi there! I love this blog! I was wondering what color is used on the fireplace brick in the first photo showing the ship lap in Alabaster white. Thank you!

  156. What color (and finish) is the brick around the front door you painted SW urban bronze at 150% in your post above?

Painting our house (front of house is half brick and half siding) (back only siding) having a hard time picking a color especially for the brick.

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Kelly – it’s Intellectual Gray by Sherwin Williams. I really love it – it reads much lighter on exteriors though so keep that in mind! Good luck with your project 🙂

  157. Hello! I am hoping you can tell me what the bluish-greenish gray color used on the exterior of the Royal Oaks ranch style house from Season 1 is? It goes so well with the timber posts and I am looking to possibly replicate it. Thanks so much!

    1. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact color but a good one to try might be Acacia Haze by Sherwin Williams.

      1. I know I have been searching everywhere to try to find out! Thank you for replying. I will check that one out on my fan deck!

  158. Hi!
Painting my bedroom grey and I am thinking of doing the same with the trim but in gloss. Thoughts on the ceiling? Basic 8 ft. Thanks!

    1. personally, we just use “ceiling white” from whatever big box store. It’s cheaper and does the job just fine, in my opinion 🙂

  159. I’m thinking of painting my stucco and trim white and have been hearing a lot about SW Alabaster. Would that be a nice white as a stucco and trim color? Or, what would you recommend? I don’t have a farmhouse style looking house, but I do like the clean look of white!

    1. Hi Mair, I do think Alabaster might work for your stucco but just be sure to grab a sample first so you can see how it looks outside at different times of day in different lighting situations. Exterior paint can be a bit tricky (from my own experience, I chose White Dove for our garage exterior because I knew it was a great color inside – but when we painted it on the garage’s exterior, it was much too yellow/creamy and not the bright white I was looking for.) Lesson learned – always get a sample! Good luck!

  160. I am not sure what color to paint my dining and living room walls. There are both small rooms and have dark wooden floors. I was thinking of sw alabaster walls and sw pure white for the trims.

    1. I love Alabaster and I think Pure White would be great for trim! It will really brighten up your space and give it a nice clean, fresh look. You can’t go wrong with white, in my opinion 🙂

      1. Hi Christy! What sheen did you use for your Urbane Bronze at 150% I’ve started my stair case in reg strength urbane semi gloss but it’s not as deep as I intended. I’m gonna try the 150% but want to try a diff sheen as well. Seems semi gloss is showing alot of brush strokes. Thanks!

        1. Hi Jenny – we used semi-gloss for the doors (I like the sheen and it’s easy to wipe down.) If you’re having problems with brush marks, you can try using Floetrol which is an additive you can put in the paint to help it smooth out and level better. I’ve used it before and it works great! You can buy it on Amazon or your local big box stores. Good luck!

  161. Hi. Do you know what blue green exterior paint color was used in River side dream. Yours, mins, ours, a home on the water. 2015.

  162. Hi, can you tell me the formula you used to get the Urbane Bronze at 150%? I had them mix me sample today and it looks exactly the same as the regular Urbane Bronze.

    1. I don’t have this can of paint or formula anymore since this photo was taken over 5 years ago – so sorry! When testing the color, make sure to use at least two coats to see a good representation of color. If you’re unhappy with the color, just go back to your paint store and have them make adjustments. Be sure to tell them what you’re looking for (do you want it darker? more black? more brown? etc…) If you have a knowledgeable paint person they should be able to adjust the color to suit. Unfortunately, with the work shortage in many stores, some of the employees aren’t as familiar with this as others. Good luck!

  163. Hi! I’m looking at painting my house in Lakeshore Green. I love the way it looks on your door. You did mention you had them mix it at 50%. One thing I’m finding, when I called ace hardware to ask about the Benjamin Moore Lakeshore Green color, they said the formula changes depending on the grade of paint. I found that shocking! I like that your door has blue in it, and it’s not just green. I got a sample half pint, and it didn’t have the bluish color in it at all. When I called to inquire about it, they told me that the half pint samples do not have blue in the formula, therefore, there was no blue in it. They said that’s also the case with ultra spec and regal grades of paint. They said their highest grade pain aura is the only one that has blue in it. Is that the grade paint that you used? Thank you, Tiffany

    1. Hi Tiffany,
Unfortunately, I don’t remember which paint we used for that door since that was in 2016. I’m so sorry! You could try taking your sample back to the store and asking them to add just a drop of blue and see if that gives you the look you’re wanting. Good luck!

  164. We have just remodeled our master bath and I’m having trouble finding the “perfect color” for our cabinets.
Our wall color is winds breath and trim color is pashmina. We have a white soaker tub and a custom shower all with matte black faucets. Our vanity top is white quartz with light gray veining (very sutle)
I am wanting a greyish/green color but I can’t find one that speaks to me!
    Any suggestions?

  165. Hi Christy, can you tell me which paint color Joanna used in in the laundry room of “Your’s, Mine, and Our’s and a House on the River” (Fixer Upper: Season 2 Episode 4)?
