Holiday Guest Bedroom – 3 Ways!

Sharing three ways to get your holiday guest bedroom ready this season, with simple and affordable decorating tips.

The holidays are quickly approaching, and there never seems to be enough time to get everything done. Thankfully, Walmart makes holiday hosting super simple (and affordable!) and I am loving all their gorgeous rustic luxe decor this year.

Getting your bedrooms ready for overnight guests can be a bit overwhelming, but today I’m here to share 3 different looks to help you add some cozy holiday vibes that everyone will love. Let’s get started!

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. All thoughts & opinions are my own. **this post contains affiliate links. see our full disclosure here.

Look #1: Teen Boy’s Holiday Guest Bedroom

Christmas decor to decorate your teen boy's bedroom.

Do you have a kiddo in college? Surprise them when they walk in the door of their old room with a quick makeover for the holidays! Use this neutral black and white quilt set to freshen things up. The comfy flannel will keep them warm & toasty. Add a few fun pillows like this cute reindeer pillow , and who wouldn’t love a poster of a deer in a Christmas sweater? And maybe if he asks nicely, you’ll let him take a few of these back to college to add some life to his dorm room!

Look #2: Rustic Luxe Guest Room for the In-Laws

Emerald green and black guest room holiday decor from Walmart

Impress your in-laws (or anyone for that matter!) with this gorgeous rustic luxe themed holiday guest bedroom. The green crushed velvet comforter set  is under $85 and comes in several other colors as well. (but I’m partial to the green since it’s my favorite color, and it will look great even after the holidays.)

This 4ft tall pre-lit flocked Christmas tree is a steal for $27 and makes me want to put one in every room! Stock this cute bar cart with favorite snacks and beverages (and maybe even a few Christmas cookies) for that extra special touch.

Look #3:  Farmhouse Christmas Guest Room for the Grandkids

Twin guest room Christmas decorating for the grandkids

And finally, here’s an adorable farmhouse style holiday guest bedroom design for the grandkids. Do as much or as little decorating as you like, but whatever you do – you know your sweet grandkids will appreciate every little touch. These well-priced metal beds add to the nostalgic feel and for under $12 you can dress them with a super comfy plush holiday blanket and send it home with the kiddos to snuggle with long after the holidays.

Hang this Merry Christmas wood sign over the beds, and finish the space with more pillows (red check, be merry) and some fun Christmas touches like this rustic tabletop tree and….

this awesome life sized golden retriever (who talks and sings! see the video below.)

I hope these ideas help alleviate a bit of the holiday overwhelm. And if you’re running tight on time, don’t forget that Walmart now offers free shipping on almost everything, with some items arriving in 1 or 2 days! Have a great week everyone, and don’t forget to pin these images to your holiday Pinterest boards. It’s a great way to save ideas for later, and it helps me out too by getting more eyeballs on my blog. Thanks so much for your support! 🙂
