Free Printable: Perfect for Easter
Easter is right around the corner, and rather than run around like a crazy person trying to find just the right things to fill my kids’ Easter baskets – I’d like to just put everything on pause and reflect.
Really reflect and think. Think about what it must have been like for God to knowingly allow His precious Son to suffer such a horrible death.
And what it must have been like for Jesus. To be persecuted, humiliated, and hung on a cross – all for US.
For ME.
Have you ever stopped to think about it? Would YOU be willing to send your Son to death in order to save a bunch of people that don’t even like you? That have turned their backs on you? That mock your very existence?
I have a son. And every time I think about God’s ultimate sacrifice – it makes me weep. Weep for the knowledge of just how unfathomable His love must be for us. To give up His only Son – for US. So that we might be saved.
Friends, I ask you to really give this some thought over the next few days. If you don’t know the Lord or have questions or comments – I would love to talk to you! Send me an email at christy @ theharperhouse . net (no spaces). God longs to know you if only you’ll let Him.
And to remind us of His awesome love and sacrifice, here’s a FREE PRINTABLE (8×10). Print it out or share it with your friends. Let us all remember and celebrate the true meaning of Easter this year.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
UPDATE: This post was first published in 2016, but I wanted to repost it for all my new readers. And remind everyone that you. are. loved.
Preach it, my friend!
What a lovely printable! Thanks for sharing this <3 xxx
thanks for visiting Maria!
Christy, I cannot even tell you how much I love this -the printable, yes-but more than that, the TRUTH of your words and the Grace of God. Thank you, sweet friend. I’ll be sharing this all over the place.
aww, thanks so much for your comment Sarah. It is so easy to lose the real meaning behind Easter, and I’m trying really hard to slow down this year and just breathe and reflect on His awesome sacrifice. thanks for sharing!
Amen! He is risen!
Hi Christy,
I *just* saw your post on Hometalk about selling your house in three days.
I liked it sooo much that I googled you and found your website.
This Easter post was the first one I clicked on.
I don’t believe in coincidences, I believe God draws His children to Him in many ways.
Sometimes it’s in a song, a book, in my case it was Hometalk.
I believe Easter and Christmas aren’t just a one day a year miracle, they’re everyday. We should celebrate all year long… Why not?
I am a Home Stager, looking at homes with a certain mindset is required and often times hard to turn off.
Sometimes I’ll drive through a neighborhood, and see Christmas lights still on a house in July, or see Easter decorations sitting in a yard in September, and think to myself “man they’re lazy or “don’t they care!”
From now on I’m gonna stop judging, and believe they’re celebrating Christ’s existence and/ or resurrection all year long.
It’s another wonderful way God is drawing me closer to Him…
I’m sooo blessed to meet you.
May you have an absolutely wonderful Easter/Christmas on Sunday and every other day this year.
~ Rena
Psalm 46:10
thank you SO much for taking the time to write such a sweet comment, Rena! you really made my day! It’s amazing how God is using this little ol’ blog to reach others. I am a somewhat shy person in real life and it’s always hard for me to talk about my feelings, but much much easier to write them! I’m so thankful and honored He’s using these words to encourage you today. I don’t believe in coincidences either – He knows just the right time and just the right things we need to hear. It’s truly wonderful how much He loves us and wants to lift us up and renew our strength and spirit! I am so blessed to meet you too, and I hope you keep in touch! God Bless, xoxo Christy
I just wanted to thank you for sharing, not just the print but your faith as well. It is a great reminder of how loved we are and how blessed we are to call Him Father.
thank you so much for your sweet comment, Ruth ❤️ Have a blessed day! xo, Christy
I just ran across this page and never heard of this quote. I absolutely love it and will be using it as one my mottos this lent. I was wondering what the font was as I am trying to make one to match for the verse Psalm 51:10.
Thank you again.
I’m so glad you were able to find this quote, Jacqueline. I really love it personally, as it sums everything up perfectly 🙂 The script font I used is Betterfly which can be purchased on Creative Market here. I can’t remember what the other font was, but something like Quicksand or Lato should work. Thanks for reading! xoxo
thanks for the printable. i’m hosting dinner for a number of sisters and our theme is Focus On Christ…. it will be a perfect addition
Thank you so much for the note, Carlyn! I’m so happy you were able to use the printable. Your dinner sounds wonderful! I hope you have an amazing time sharing fellowship with your friends ❤️
