Today I thought I’d share some progress pics from the house that we’re flipping (affectionately named “Mouse House” by my kiddos due to Craig having to do a little erm… exterminating). If you’re new, you can check my previous Mouse House posts here and here.

Let’s start from the beginning. This was the status of the master bath when we first bought the house:

like those pendant lights?

lovely, no? the cobwebs add a little something I think

So to help you get a sense of what you’re looking at, I’ve drawn you a pretty little picture:

aren’t you envious of my mad drawing skillz 🙂

Craig has been working hard on plumbing and electrical – essential for functionality of course, but not very fun to look at. But here’s where we’re at today (actually, he’s since installed cement board on the floors in prep for tile too.)

replaced pendants with can light, new tub & awesome faucet

fixed insulation, plumbing, and added electrical for sconces

So what do I have planned for this space? I don’t have everything completely nailed down, but I’m hoping it will look a little something like this:

I’m thinkin’ shiplap walls, vintage looking chrome features, marble topped vanity, and a splash of blueish green color might look a tad bit better than the before pics. What do you think? Are you planning any renovations for the new year? I’d love to hear about them – leave me a comment!

If you’d like to keep up with all my “mouse house” finds and ideas, follow my ranch rehab board on pinterest.

I love the basketweave tile, I used in a rehab of one our baths. It looks amazing with the marble that you have picked. We went with a granite that looked a lot like a marble because I was worried about stains from beauty products…but I’m thinking if you seal the marble that isn’t an issue really.

Can’t wait to see it. I can’t imagine yet with the shiplap~ the color will be very spa-like which is perfect for the bath~

Thanks so much Debbie! Shiplap is so popular right now and I’m surprised hubby actually agreed to it – but I can’t wait to do it! It adds so much texture and will (hopefully) make our house stand out from the rest of the builder beige houses once we put it on the market. Thanks for visiting!

  • And here's the after! It took almost a year but fixing up this house was definitely a lesson in patience and perseverance! 💕my awesome hubby did 90% of the work himself - no crew of 20 guys for us (I wish!) but we were able to save SO much money this way! Labor costs add up quickly so if you have the ability and ambition to do it yourself, go for it! ☺👍🏻full source list on the blog #theharperhouse
  • So this was what we had to work with when we first set foot in the #fliphouse 😳thankfully I married a very handy hubby who has mad skills and lets me flex my design muscles 💪🏻see the full reveal on the blog here: bit.ly/2jWlf5m

  • I have to admit, I'm going to be sad to see this house go 🙁it's been a long labor of love, but this is by far our best flip yet. I love all the extra details and I officially want to #shilap every darn wall now 😂(where's the shiplap emoji?!?) #theharperhouse
  • So blessed to have such a talented and humble hubby who can bring my crazy design ideas to life 💕 I wanted this niche in the master shower to be trimmed in chair rail, so he ripped out the previous version and made this 🙌👍🏻 I don't tell him often enough, but he's awesome ☺️ #fliphouse #theharperhouse
  • here's the after! Hubby used his paint sprayer to turn this $199 bargain into a custom looking piece perfect for the #fliphouse! Color is Fieldstone by @benjaminmoore 😍👌🏻💕 #beforeandafter #theharperhouse
  • Would you believe I found this stove hood for only $199 bucks at our local cabinet outlet store?🙀💕 Saved hubby SO much time from not having to build his own.
