Flip House: Master Bath Progress
Today I thought I’d share some progress pics from the house that we’re flipping (affectionately named “Mouse House” by my kiddos due to Craig having to do a little erm… exterminating). If you’re new, you can check my previous Mouse House posts here and here.
Let’s start from the beginning. This was the status of the master bath when we first bought the house:
So to help you get a sense of what you’re looking at, I’ve drawn you a pretty little picture:
Craig has been working hard on plumbing and electrical – essential for functionality of course, but not very fun to look at. But here’s where we’re at today (actually, he’s since installed cement board on the floors in prep for tile too.)
So what do I have planned for this space? I don’t have everything completely nailed down, but I’m hoping it will look a little something like this:
vintage tub filler | vanity | sconce | tile
I’m thinkin’ shiplap walls, vintage looking chrome features, marble topped vanity, and a splash of blueish green color might look a tad bit better than the before pics. What do you think? Are you planning any renovations for the new year? I’d love to hear about them – leave me a comment!

I love the basketweave tile, I used in a rehab of one our baths. It looks amazing with the marble that you have picked. We went with a granite that looked a lot like a marble because I was worried about stains from beauty products…but I’m thinking if you seal the marble that isn’t an issue really.
Can’t wait to see it. I can’t imagine yet with the shiplap~ the color will be very spa-like which is perfect for the bath~
Thanks so much Debbie! Shiplap is so popular right now and I’m surprised hubby actually agreed to it – but I can’t wait to do it! It adds so much texture and will (hopefully) make our house stand out from the rest of the builder beige houses once we put it on the market. Thanks for visiting!
