How to stop the excuses and just hit PUBLISH
I’m here!
It’s been a long time coming. I think I’m the last person in the universe to start a blog. I’ve been wanting to do it for 7 years. Why has it taken me so long?
Excuses.
I’m too tired.
I’m too old.
I don’t know what to write about.
My kids are running around – it’s too noisy, I can’t think.
My kids are at school – it’s too quiet, I can’t think.
My blog design is not perfect.
I am so un-techy!
I can’t figure out how to change my sidebar, change my font, change anything!
I’m too tired.
Blogging takes too much time.
My pictures are horrible.
No one will read it, why bother?
I’m sure there’s a jillion other excuses I’ve used over the years. But I’ve decided: enough is enough.
So I’m starting. Today. Why not?
Over these last 12 years of being a stay at home mom, I have lost myself. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t trade these precious years of raising my babies for anything. Not even a life time supply of chocolate chip cookies. I am so very grateful to be able to stay home with my kiddos. But…
I want to do something for me. I want to use my brain again. I want to develop new friendships. I want to share great ideas. I want to do something besides vacuum up dog hair and fold socks. So here goes nothing.

Good day! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with Search Engine Optimization? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good

My background story is similar to yours, just that I only launched my blog this Tuesday – so exciting. Thanks to Abby and Donnie I started off with having already 1300 lovely e-mail subscribers pre-launch and got thanks to it quite a good amount of pageviews right on day one. Which I never thought would be possible! That said I would love to see the income report you planned on writing and add you to my list of inspiring bloggers who I can learn from <3
